Performanssi taltiointi-DVD sisältää n. 24 versiota puhelinmyynnin yrityksistä ja nopean tilaajan etuna bonus videon "Auto Blink (08)". Puhelut soitetaan ullakolta. Ne nauhoitetaan puhelun vastaanottajan luvalla. Jos teillä on tuttavia, joille haluaisitte DVDtä myytävän niin lähettäkää minulle numero niin soitan ja kokeilen. - I am going to try to sell a DVD consisting of performance documentations at Porin Juhlaviikot on the 12.12. The sales will be made via telephone using telemarketing tools and methods. The DVD consists of 24 attempts to sell a DVD consisting of performance documentations. I´ll work for 12h and 28min calling random people of Pori. If you have some contacts that you would believe to be potential buyers please send me their contact information.. Hei, tässä on ____ ___________ onko pieni hetki aikaa? Soittelen tässä Galleria 3h + k tiloista täältä Porista ja olen nykytaiteen asialla. Toivottavasti teitä ei haittaa että puhelu menee nauhalle? Teidän ääntä ei kuulu (nauhoituksessa) ellette niin halua.
Olen täällä töissä (Nyte Ryn ylläpitämille) Porin Juhlaviikoilla ja liikkeillä tuodakseni performanssitaidetta ihmisten koteihin. Onko teidän taloudessa nykytaiteen ystäviä?
EI: No sittenhän tässä on oiva tilaisuus vähän lisätä omaa kulttuurin tuntemustaa!
KYLLÄ: Niin mä vähän ajattelinkin. Pori on tunnetusti taideystävällinen paikka. Onko teille performanssitaide tuttua?
Me ollaan tarjoamassa tutustumispakettia performanssitaiteeseen ja laajemmin nykytaiteeseen. Tutustumis paketti sisältää n. 24 erilaista performanssi taltioitia helppokäyttöisellä DVDllä. Tämä DVD siis sisältää minun täällä gallerialla tänä vuonna esitettämän sarjan performansseja. Näiden esitysten avulla saa laaja-alaisesti tietoa siitä mitä performanssitaide voi olla ja se sisältää keskusteluita nykytaiteesta. Tämän DVDn pyrkimys antaa työkaluja nykytaiteen vaikutuskeinojen ymmärtämiseen kriittisestä näkökulmasta... Kuulostaako tälläinen tutustumispaketti sellaiselta, joka teitä voisi kiinnostaa?
HALUAA LISÄTIETOJA: DVDllä on yhteensä n. tunti(?) materiaalia. Ja se koostuu editoituista puhelin keskusteluista Porilaisten kanssa joiden aikana yritän saada heitä tilaamaan tätä kyseistä tutustumis DVDtä. Laajemmin näiden keskuteluiden tarkoituksena on löytää uusia määrittelijöitä nykytaiteelle ja johdatella keskusteluun työn määritelmästä. DVDllä on valikoituna n. 24 kappaletta keskusteluja yhteensä 52 täällä käydystä puhelinkeskustelusta. Keskustelut on osa xxx_kollektiivin esityssarjaa, jota on esitetty aikaisemmin mm. Turussa ja Kuopiossa ANTI taidetapahtumassa.
EI KIINNOSTA: Oletteko ihan varma? Kyse on nimittäin hyvällä tahdolla tehdystä taideteoksesta, jonka motiivina on taidekokemuksen tarjoaminen. Ja lisäksi toisi hyvää mieltä (näin Joulun alla) kun päättäisitte lähteä mukaan tukemaan nuoria nykytaiteilijoita.
Eli kuten sanottua kyse on tutustumis DVDstä joka ei velvoita mihinkään. Kun te päätätte tilata kotiinne tutustumis DVDn niin sen mukana tulee valmiiksi maksettu palautuskuori, jota voitte käyttää DVDn palauttamiseen, (jos se ei teitä mielytä). Mukana kirjeessä on myös valmiiksi täytetty lasku, jonka maksamalla palkkio-esityksen tekemisestä siirtyy suoraan taiteilijan tilille. Näistä sitten aikanaan maksetaan verot ihan tavalliseen tapaan. Ja jos päätätte tilata paketin NYT niin DVDlle sisällytetään myös itsenäinen videotaideteos "Auto-Blink (08)", joka on kuvattu HDV-formaatissa lähellä Nord-Cuppia tänä keväänä. Tämä video on siis itsenäinen taideteos, jota kelpaa näyttää vaikka taidegalleriassa.

Tutustumispaketti maksaa postikuluineen 12 euroa. Tutustumis DVD toimitetaan postitse niin, että se on viimeistään Joulun jälkeen teillä kotona.
KIELTÄYTYY: Oletteko aivain varma. Paketti ei todellakaan velvoita ostopäätöksen tekemiseen ja sen voi palauttaa valmiiksi maksetulla kirjekuorella takaisin. Kyllä näin edullinen paketti kannattaa tilata kotiin ja katsoa läpi ennenkuin tekee päätöksen. Myynnistähän maksetaan verot ihan tavalliseen tapaan ja rahat menee nuoren taiteilijan tukemiseen, josta varmasti jää hyvä mieli. Ja kun paketissa on mukana myös itsenäinen videotaideteos "Auto-Blink (08)" niin se on kyllä hintaan nähden hyvin edullinen. Voisitteko vielä harkita tutustumista pakettia performanssitaiteeseen?

I work here at the Porin Juhlaviikot (Jubileum Weeks of Pori) and I am reaching out to bring performance art to private homes in Pori. Are there any Contemporary Art fans in you household?
NO: Well here is a fine oppertunity to expand you knowlidge of our culture!
YES: Thats what I thought. Pori is know for its art friendly enviroment. Are you familiar with live-art?
We are offering a package which will help you to learn more about live-art and Contemporary Art in general. This package includes nearly 24 performance documentations on an easily usable DVD. This DVD includes documantations of performances that we have made here at Porin Juhlaviikot. Whit thease works you will gain knowlidge on what live-art can be and it includes conversations on Contemporary Arts. It is aimed for people as a critical indroduction to live-art and it provides you with tools to view Contemporary Arts... Does this sound like something that you would be interested in?
IF SHE/HE WANTS MORE INFORMATION: The DVD consists of rougly one hour(?) of material. This material is based on edited conversations with people of Pori, during which we try to sell them the DVD in question. In a broad sence it is an attempt to find new approaches to Contemporary Art and as a guide to conversation regarding the income of Artists. The DVD includes a selection of 24 conversations from 52 performances. This performance is a part of the "xxx_collectives" performance series which has been performed previously in Turku and Kuopio at the ANTI-art festival.
IF NOT INTERESTED: Are you absolutely shure? This is an art project made with the best intentions. Only motivated with providing an artistic experience. And it would give a good spirit (so close to Cristmas) if you would like to contribite to the work of young artists.
As sayed earlyer this is an inrtoduction package which includes a DVD. This however does not tie you to make any bying desitions. If you deside to get this package you will receive a pre-paid envelope with it which you can use in order send it back (if it does not please you). Also included in the package is a pre-filled bill which you can pay so that the money is transferrend to the artist account. Taxes of this transaction will be payed in the proper manner. If you deside to get the package NOW it will be included with an independent videoart-work entitled "Auto-Blink (08)", which was shot in HDV-formant close to Nord-Cup early this spring. This is a videowork suitable for usage in art galleries.

Hi Chris, I am Eero Yli-Vakkuri from the xxx_group which presented a durational performance at this years ANTI-festival in Kuopio, Finland. After the festival we chatted about using telemarketing tools to sell performances for an audience. You told me that there were some cases when a theatre (in Toronto?) had sold tickets to plays using telemarketing tools. Would you have any links to further reading regarding this matter? On the 12.12 we´ll start yet an other durational performance with the group. During which we´ll sell performance documentation DVDs, using telemarketing tools and methods to 52 partly randomly selected people of Pori. The DVD will consist of some 24 separate attempts to sell the DVD. Anyway I thought that it would be decent to thank you for your "Problem Guy"-work at ANTI. Our performance "52" is inspired by your work and the talks we shared after it. I have a years worth of experience with telemarketing and I´am hoping to get a decent Christmas Bonus with this performance! Season Greeting and All the Best: from the xxx_group
- ...Generally when you purchase a ticket at a theatre you are asked for your name and address details which are added to the company's database. A few days after the show, a rep from the company gives you a call to ask if you enjoyed the show and if you would like to purchase tickets to the next one. Most of the large companies operate on a Subscription Season, meaning that you can by a large block of tickets to all or some of the shows they are presenting that year and receive a discount. One of the common practices is to offer the person a discount on a full season subscription based on the amount already paid for the ticket. The important difference between this approach and regular telemarketing is that the only people who get called are people who have already purchased a ticket with the company. They will never call random people from the phone book. Only people the company has an existing relationship with. Most of the people who make the calls are also professional actors, working to make money between jobs, so the calls are very friendly and slick--not sounding like a regular telemarketer who is reading off a script and wishing for their day to come to an end... -Chris

"52 tilannesidonnaista esitystä" jatkaa xxx_performanssia sarjaa. Xxx_performanssia sarja tähtää 100 erillisen esityksen kokonaisuuteen, joka toteutetaan 24 tuntia kestävän esityksen aikana. Konseptia on tähän mennessä kehittänyt ja esittänyt xxx_ryhmä: Paula Lehtonen, Pia Sirén, Eero Yli-Vakkuri sekä Pekka Ruuska. Ryhmä toteutti kaksi esityssarjaa "50 pientä performanssia", Turussa osana Teatteri Galleria projektia Galleria Titanikissa 2007 sekä "51 performanssia" Kuopion Antitaidetapahtumassa syksyllä 2008. Näiden esiintymisten jälkeen ryhmä avattiin kollektiiviksi, jolloin sen jäsenet pystyvät tuottamaan esitys sarjaa eri kokopanoilla. Porissa esiintymistä vastaa Eero Yli-Vakkuri.
12.12.08 toteutettava jakso saa lopullisen muotonsa vasta esiintyjän saapuessa Poriin. Tulevaa työtä rajaa ainoastaan sen kesto 12h 28minuuttia. Tämän aikana Yli-Vakkuri tulee toteuttamaan 52 erillistä esitystä. Työt videoidaan ja ne näytettään galleria tilaan installoituna 13.12. kello 16:00 eteenpäin.

- Liikkuisin pitkin galleriaa ja korjailisin rikkonaisia asioita, kiristelisin ruuveja, maalaisin korjaisin kattoa jne. Pikkurempaa ja rempan esityksellisiä yksityiskohtia. Yksinkertainen ele ja sen aikana tulisi kohdattua tilaa tarkasti ja tavattua muita ihmisiä. Voisin pyytää niitä vaikka mukaan korjaamaan. Kaikki korjaukset kuvattaisiin. Ongelma on tekopyhyys. Etu on "alakulttuuri" toiminnan tukeminen. Video vertautuisi kodin ehostus ohjelmiin, remonttireiskoihin ja innoon. Silloin näiden ohjelmien esityksellisyys ja tuottama mies kuvasto tulisi taklattua. Ei ehkä löydy 52 korjattavaa yksityiskohtaa. Silloin voisi etsiä homevaurioita tai siivota. Homman voisi markkinoida talkoina. Tilan korjaus talkoot. Talkoiden pienet esitykset ja kaljakori homman valmistuttua. Kaikki mukaan korjaamaan!

- Toimin ullakolla tehden eleitä ja tekoja, jotka eivät sovi miehelle. Töiden tarkoitus on paljastaa ne rajat, jotka määrittävät miehuutta. Puhun koko esitys ajan kimeällä äänellä. Miehekkyys on osin sitä mitä naiseus ei ole. Yritän rikastuttaa keskustelua olemalla vertaamatta mieheyttä naiseuteen vaan johonkin muuhun. Sukupuolella on vaikutusta siihen miten henkilö vastaanotetaan.. Keskusteluissa sukupuolesta.

52 mykkää juttua ullakolla
- Olisin ullakolla koko ajan. Aina kun esiintyisin olisin ääneti. Näin siksi, että kun aikaisemmin ollaan tehty juttuja niin ollaan puhuttu liikaa. Lisäksi mä puhun muutenkin liikaa esityksissä. Siksi 52 mykkää juttua olisi hyvä haaste. Se olisi semmoinen raja keho kokeilu. Yksinäinen esiintyjä ullakolla kameran kanssa. Nauhottelemassa videolle omia esityksiään ja jos yleisöä tulee niin hyvä, mutta ei sen väliä. Kamera olis jalustalla keskellä huonetta ja se pyörisi akselinsa ympäri 360 astetta. Jokaisen eleen välissä sitä liikutettaisiin niin, että se kieräisi akselinsa ympäri. Siitä tulisi yhtenäinen video, jota voisi näyttää vaikka nopeutettuna putkena. Työt olisivat keho teemalla. Kropan esityksellisiä yksityiskohtia, fakiiritemppuja, rajoja, sovinnaisia asentoja, epäsovinnaisia asentoja, hyvää ulkonäköä ja sopimattomia eleitä.

Hey, Hope you are not too busy for some e-mailing. It´s ok if you are sometimes things just go that way. As it seems that you don´t have time to plan the collaboration then I have 2(1/2) solutions. Solution 1. If you are totally busy then I´ll develop the performance on my own and you can join it if you want. I have some personal ambitions for the duration based work. The one I am most interested in is: "52 acts of destruction" during which I´ll seek 52 different logos and brands from the cityscape Pori and destroy them either physically or with a ritual-like act. Solution 2. If you have ambitions for collaboration we´ll start writing some e-mails and so forth and set the plans in motion when arriving to Pori. If you would feel nice with this solution it would be good if we set some themes for the work. "Gender Battle", 52 separate contest like actions in 12 hours with three genders, A, B and C is so far the best idea I´ve had. Solution 1/2 If it seems that you haven´t got any time to develop the work we´ll forget about collaborating but we´ll meet in Pori and have some beers! Beers we can have any way. Hi, I am Eero Yli-Vakkuri and I´ll also take part in the Pori-Festival in December. I heard from Jussi that you are open for different kinds of art actions during your visit. And I´d like to invite you both to take part in a collaborative project. This collaboration would result in to a performance which is scheduled for the 12th. Together with a three member group we have developed a "performing script" which I would like to further developed and study together with new participants. The other members of our group are occupied during the Pori Festivals and I am looking for new people to meet. In a collaborative free art like spirit. This "performing script" is based on duration. The performance would last for 12 hours and 28 minutes. During which we would develop 52 separate performance works. Only the schedule is fixed. The themes and aims of this performance are open. Totally open. Together with our group we have done two similar shows.
